Main Idea
Worship begins with God, centers on God, and responds to who God reveals himself to be.
Jesus said the Father seeks worshipers who worship in spirit and truth. Worship is therefore deeper than a musical style, a favorite song, or what we feel we received from a service.
Psalm 100 pictures thanksgiving and praise as an intentional approach to God. Through Jesus, believers now have access to God's presence and can welcome his rule in every part of life.
As God reveals his holiness, goodness, faithfulness, and joy, his people respond appropriately with renewed minds, revived emotions, regenerated spirits, and bodies offered as living sacrifices.
